Mikah Meyers

The Illustrator

Mikah was born and raised in Maryland where he spent his youth at cook-outs and camping. Mikah couldn't set aside his creative drive and changed his entire track of study to earn a triple major degree in English Literature, Publishing & Editing, and Creative writing from Susquehanna University in Pennsylvania.

Following college Mikah taught High School level English Literature at a residential mental health behavioral facility for 3 years before moving on to work with adults in psychiatric crisis. 

​

Mikah is a creative across many disciplines and has varying works published in literary magazines including Waxing & Waning Literary Magazine, Brave Voices Magazine, Lotus Eater Magazine, the Oakland Arts Review, and a recent addition to the Taco Bell Quarterly. Being a creative living the transgender experience, Mikah is published under many names from the dead name of Mikayla Meyers, to M. Meyers, and finally Mikah Meyers.

Mikah's short comic titled "Stranded" in Waxing & Waning Literary Magazine was nominated for a Best of the Net award. His debut novel "Cold Spots" a mental health recovery story with a paranormal twist, and his collection of horror stories titled "The Farmhouse: Country Tales of Terror" both earned a Reader's Favorite 5-star rating. 

​

With strengthened identity and purpose, Mikah aims to amplify stories from the LGBTQ+ experience.
